I find that a lot of the books being published today, especially in the YA genre, use more simplistic writing as opposed to older ones. I really enjoy victorian literature, in particular, and love how many writers of that time used poetic, flowery language in their works. However, I would like to try reading newer stuff. Could anyone suggest more modern/contemporary books that have a similar feel to what I described? Preferably with romance.
