I’m currently reading this book & wanted clarification on what “the darkness” is that the main character keeps seeing? Is it symbolism for some sort of magic as her mother is a witch? Is she hallucinating? I’m only half way through so no spoilers if possible.. thank youuuuu 💌

Then there were the various references to the “darkness” in Zeba’s home, Gulnaz’s magic and the likelihood that Zeba has inherited it, Gulnaz’s reliance on some one else’s talisman and so on. I was left confused about what the author wanted us to believe .
