Recommend me a book where the protagonist believes they’re right but is tragically wrong

I am looking for a book where the protagonist genuinely believes their actions are right, not just pretending to be right and justifying his actions. The book does not need to end with them learning that they are wrong. Actually I would prefer it not to. I want a character who is completely clueless of their ignorance. Any genre.
