Suggest me a fictional story with geopolitics

I am interested in sci fi/fantasy novels that emphasize geopolitics whether it be war, trade, diplomacy or any other facet of international relations between states and governments.

There are many popular stories such as Star Wars that have geopolitics in them but these kind of play secondary to the story so I am interested in story books which takes the states first and foremost
