Hi! I want to read a book with a sapphic character (a woman who likes women) but I am also beggining the 'one book per country' challenge. So… do you pals know books (it can be a novel, short stories, poems, an autobiography, whatever honestly) with a love story between women from a country that is not the US/UK?
About my reading tastes: I love literary fiction, I am used to reading classics. I tend to get a bit bored with YA (but I am willing to try) and I am not into sci-fi.

For Iceland: Vigdís Grímsdóttir – Z, a love story
For Finland: Sofi Oksanen – Baby Jane
Boulder, much set in Iceland, but the writer is Catalan.
Nigeria: Under the udala trees by Chinelo Okparanta (literary ya, please check the trigger warnings this one is heavy)
South-Korea: Concerning my daughter by Kim Hye-jin (literary fiction, the sapphic couple is the main character’s daughter and her girlfriend)
Canada (or pakistan if you look at where the author was born/was a child and I remember it right) We have always been here by Samra Habib (a memoir)
Ireland (or bangladesh if you look at where the author was born/was a child): Hani and Ishu’s guide to fake dating by Adiba Jaigirdar (ya romance)
