So, the most recent book I purchased was a Jack Carr action-adventure novel, Red Sky Mourning. Where I live, it was published as a Iarge trade paperback. Other places, I've seen on social media, people got hardcover copies. I honestly don't much care which I get, but I am curious: why would some stores get hardcovers and others the trades? I wonder if it's just a matter of what sells better in a region? Or a distribution issue? Or something else that I'm maybe entirely unaware of.
