I'm in the path of hurricane Beryl. It's not looking great, and we may be without power for some time. Can you suggest me books that are light and engaging? Any genre welcome! I read a lot, so less popular options would be amazing

*Second Wind* by Dick Francis!!
(I kid. It’s about a Hurricane.)
Though any other Dick Francis book would probably be good. He writes mysteries. Almost every book has a different protagonist. Each protagonist has some–sometimes tenuous–connection to the horse world. One invents toys and owns a race horse. One is a trainer. Several are jockies or retired jockies. One has a horsebox driving business. One is an architect who owns some shares of a race course. I like *Banker* a lot (a merchant banker loans money to a breeder to buy a prize stallion). *Proof* has a man who owns a wine shop caters to the horse crowd. Almost all of them are murder mysteries.
Both of these books are about hurricanes. Pat Parks’ book is quite short.
*Isaac’s Storm: A Man, a Time, and the Deadliest Hurricane* [the 1900 Galveston hurricane] by Erik Larson.
*The Railroad That Died at Sea* by Pat Parks: the 1935 Labor Day hurricane that savaged Key West.
