I just read 'The Road Rises' by Sarah Dunne. Laugh out loud travel memoir about a solo mum, empty nester looking for Mr Right. I loved the style of this writing – witty, joyful and uplifting. Has anyone read this? can anyone suggest something similar?

I’m not sure if it’s similar to the book you mention, but my favourite comedy travel book is The Sex Lives of Cannibals by J Maarten Troost
Last chance to see – Douglas Adams
He is travelling around the world to see the last ones of almost extinct species, very funny, informative and sad
I’ve enjoyed Peter Moore’s books. Vroom with a View was the first one I read, he’s an Aussie bloke travelling around Italy on a Vespa.
If you’re okay with an older book, Our Hearts Were Young and Gay by Cornelia Otis Skinner.
‘The Lost Continent’ by Bill Bryson made me laugh out loud on every page.
