The US and UK seem to be very aligned in terms of how our politics, priorities, and countries have developed; no doubt there is a basis in the common Anglo-Saxon cultural heritage that formed the basis of the main government institutions.
Contrast this with how other (geographically close) countries have had very different outcomes, decisions, and values – e.g., most other European countries as one example, etc.
Looking to find a book that discusses or speaks to this – I imagine it's part history, part sociology, etc.
Thank you in advance!
