( the more twisted / psychological the better )
Hi all!
I'm looking for books with betrayal /abuse between a couple, and an unhappy ending. The unhappier and more permanent the ending, the better. I'm also open to psychological thriller type stuff where a male abducts a female, but it's less ideal.
I'm recently getting into this, so I have limited examples and the endings to these are a bit gentle, probably as gentle as I could be satisfied with; I wouldn't mind more brutal endings…

I'm open to series books if they can stand alone, and would appreciate a warning… for example, if the first book fits the bill, but later books have a happier ending, I'm good to stop at the first book as long as I have warning.
