I have some lying around and I'm not sure which one should I start with. I'm not a fast reader and English is not my main language, I'm about as average as it can be regarding language skill. I did read Hyperion.
Brandon Sanderson – Mistborn, Wheel of Time
Jim Butcher – Dresden File (this is fantasy right?)
Joe Abercrombie – First Law
Kel Kade – King's Dark Tidings
Lev Grossman – The Magician
Matt Dinniman – Dungeon Crawler Carl (finished Book 1 taking a lil break then will continue)
Patrick Rothfuss – Kingkillers Chronicle
Robin Hobb – Assassins's Apprentice
Scott Lynch – Gentleman Bastard
Steven Erickson – Malazan (heard this is great but it's kinda heavy and req some commitment)
Stross Charles – Merchant Princes
Ursula K Le Guin – Earthsea
Mostly I got from top book of the year obviously. So I'm just asking for your opinion.
PS I’m open to any of your suggestions too regarding books not on this list.
