I just finished reading the three body problem trilogy which I quite enjoyed
It might not be my favourite sci-fi books and have some flaws, but I was struck by how inventive it was: so many of the concepts were new to me and honestly mind buggling (if you don't think too hard about how realistic they might be)
I have read other Sci fi or fantasy books that were better written, with more complex characters but none felt as original
Can you recommend books (I don't care about the genre but I guess Sci fi and fantasy are more likely to fit the bill) that are truly original in the concepts they develop and that do not feel like they're just rehashing the same tropes with a small twist?
My only restriction would be : nothing YA.
Thanks
