So, I just finished watching the new adaptation of a book I absolutely loved, and let me tell you, I'm feeling torn. The book had me hooked from page one—the characters, the plot twists, everything was just spot-on. But this new TV series? It's like they took everything great about the book and threw it out the window!
I won't name names (you can probably guess if you're into the same genre), but I feel like they missed the mark big time. The casting was off, the storyline took weird turns that weren't in the original plot, and some of my favorite scenes got totally butchered. I had such high hopes, you know? I even binge-watched the whole thing hoping it would get better, but it just left me disappointed.
Has anyone else experienced this kind of letdown? Did you ever have a book you adored get turned into a movie or show that you ended up hating? How do you deal with that kind of disappointment? I'm genuinely curious if I'm the only one feeling this way or if there are others out there who get where I'm coming from.
