Looking for a new book to read that teaches me something with some emotional appeal. Just Mercy is my favourite. Can’t Hurt Me is also one I enjoyed. Based on those, any books I might like? It doesn’t have to be law-related.
OMG, PLEASE READ **”THE SUN DOES SHINE” BY ANTHONY RAY HINTON**!!! Just Mercy is one of my favorite books and movies of all time, along with The Sun Does Shine.
This has a direct connection and cross-over with Just Mercy, Anthony’s case was one of those taken up by Bryan Stevenson and his advocacy and representation played a crucial role in eventually securing Hinton’s release after nearly 30 years of wrongful imprisonment on death row.
It’s emotional, it’s beautiful, it’s gripping, and I learned SO much from it. I think about Anthony’s case all the time.
