I (22M) am moving alone to a big city for the first time in my life, so I'd like to empathize with a fictional character.
Can you suggest me a book to do so? For example I really liked Norwegian Wood, showing the life of a young single man living lonely in Tokyo.
It would be even better if the city was in Europe like Paris or London.

The best I can recommend is The Trio by Johanna Hedman. The book is mainly set in Sweden, and it’s about a young man studying in Sweden, who gradually finds friends and travels across Europe with them. I originally picked it up because someone said it was Sally Rooney-esque but idk about that.
Sophie’s Choice by William Styron springs to mind
Oliver Twist if you want to read a classic.
