I’m an avid reader. Mum used to have to take books out of my hands at 2am to sleep.
My favorite series is the Six Queens by Alison Weir, based on the six wives of Henry VIII. I also have a couple other books from her. I also love Ann Burton’s historical fiction books about various women in the Bible
I’ve read Harry Potter, the Witcher, Hunger Games, Percy Jackson and the Heroes of Olympus, Game of Thrones (and Fire and Blood). I really like the historical and/or fantasy element style. I also just finished the Queen Series about Padmé from Star Wars by E. K. Johnston and I was not impressed with the lack of story and detail.
Does anyone have some good recommendations that could align with Weir or Burton, or any others I mentioned? Maybe even something similar to Riordan? Please don’t suggest Philippa Gregory because her belief at being “historically accurate” is a disgrace.
