I asked for a recommendation in this sub before and I got a lot of recommendations for Where the Crawdads Sing. To be honest, I hated it. It was boring and I didn't like any of the characters, and the ending was also awful.
I'm looking for beach reads. Maybe something intriguing but not in this vein. I've read all of the Colleen Hoover books and they were meh for me. I like Crime, fantasy, drama…really anything that is not sappy romantic. Between our summer vacation and the cruise we have scheduled next year I am going to need around 5 books.
