Hi folks, as the title says, I'm looking for a book like "I want my hat back" by Jon Klassen. I'm trying to teaching kids English and "I want my hat back" caught my attention for its repetitive dialogue which is suitable for introducing a grammar point, and of course the story is pretty funny so that's good for making the reading task more enjoyable for students.
Now one thing though, the dialogue in this book is mostly in the present perfect tense ("Have you seen my hat?"). I'm trying to introduce the past simple tense to my students instead, but so far I've had no luck in finding a book told in a similar fashion (repetitive dialogue of yes/no questions and answers) but in the past simple tense (smth like "Did you go to the beach?"). If anyone has a book just like that in mind, I'm all ears! Thanks for reading.
