I was reading Fairy Tale by Stephen King and got about 250 pages in (it's like 500 pages), then decided to quit.
I usually never quit reading a book, even if I don't like it. I feel kind of stupid, like I failed at something easy. I know I wouldn't have enjoyed the rest of it (I read the summary on Wikipedia after I decided to quit) but maybe I'm missing out on something.
I really don't want to finish it. It's a library book and I've got to read 4 other books this week because they're due – I spent so long on this one book, putting it down and picking it up a few days later.

My take: I read for fun, and if I’m not enjoying a book, I’ll pick another. Life is too short and there are too many amazing book options out there for me to continue reading something that I’m truly not enjoying.
