I feel like it's hard enough to find a book like this as is, but some books I loved were Piranesi and, though it is mythology, Circe. I hate how hard it is to find a book with a well-written female protagonist that isnt dependent on a man so I'll try any recs I'm given!

Transdimensional Tea. Has several well-written female protagonists. The characters are based on Greek mythology but the premise is scifi. Zero romance – only platonic relationships.
