Hey there! I'm looking for some books that might help curb my dystopian urge.
Similar to Fallout, A Quiet Place, The Maze Runner series, Moon of the Crusted Snow, Project Hail Mary/To Be Taught If Fortunate, titles that really focus on the mystery of what's going on, that might employ some creepy aspects to them and have that sort of "What the hell happened?" question, but at the heart of the story, they're about perseverance, survival, and keeping going. I'm not opposed to zombie or outbreak themes, like TWD or TLOU, but would like the world to really reflect that.
I'm not looking for dystopian society like Divergent or The Hunger Games, where people and civilization is corrupt and dystopian, my focus is really worlds that have been devastated, where the characters are survivors and the main goal is to figure out how to keep going.

I'm honestly pretty up to date (I think) with fantasy and sci-fi stuff, but lacking severely in dystopian and post-apocalyptic stuff. Moon of the Crusted Snow was my most recent read, which I really enjoyed, so just hoping to continue that kick!

    1. You’ve pretty much described Hugh Howey’s **Wool**. The first in his *Silo* series, but stands alone.

The Forest of hands and teeth by Carrie Ryan is a pretty decent zombie series.

At the start of the series it’s been many years since the initial outbreak and people have learned to live within a wall/fence. Although secrets might be the very thing that destroys whatever peaceful life they had.
