My wife's birthday coming up and would really like some inspiration for a book or series of books for one of her presents. She grew up on the Anne of Green Gables books, favourite book is The Picture of Dorian Grey, has recently read and liked the Dune novels and also really loved Justin Cronin's "The Passage" trilogy. She is very much into the Zombie/post apocalyptic type genre but will read most things. She has read Steven King's "The Stand" but don't think was as enjoyed as the Justin Cronin works. As a wild card in there she also is a massive fan of the Hitch Hikers Guide and David Sedaris.
