Ordered books for my vacation, arrived a few days beforehand. Beautiful, heavy, expensive books. When they arrived, the packaging was terrible. The box was a little larger than the books on all sides, and the only protection was a bit of scrunched up paper on the bottom. The delicate cover on one of the books was scratched and covered in spots that appeared to be grease. The edges were, obviously, dented.
So I returned them and sent for new copies hoping that the result would be better. Alas, this time the condition was even worse. Not only are the books in worse condition than last time, but the packaging was barely holding together. The books are covered in what appears to be gravel. Note that the box cover is entirely black and anything that appears to be dirt, is.
Return adress says Dunfermline, Scotland so I assume this is where they were sent from. Great fucking work, Dunfermline. Was looking forward to reading these in my time off and am so disappointed.
Never using Amazon again.
