Looking for a portal fantasy that's cozy and more about exploring this new world than it is about being the chosen one or defeating evil.
Like Narnia is great but I'm not in the mood for destiny heroes/royals needing to battle the evil queen/forces and save the world.
Stardust was great- just amount of exploring/dealing with the baddies, could that be described as a portal fantasy?
Anyway, just looking for a good cozy portal fantasy that will have me smiling/happy. There should be some degree of fantasy/magical within the world.
*Someone from our world going to a magical one is what I'm after not someone from a magical world coming to our world* Although, I'd still take that suggest just let me know.

[https://wanderinginn.com/](https://wanderinginn.com/) is close. It is a wonderful slice of life portal fantasy that has cozy parts, but fair warning it also has occasional grim parts. But the author definitely takes their time to explore an extensive world. Main character is portaled to a fantasy world and becomes an inn keeper.
