I really enjoy Cormac Mcarthy. Years ago I read The Road and No Country, and absolutely loved both. Recently I read All The Pretty Horses, and enjoyed it just as much so I wanted to finish the trilogy. I've never been bothered by the bleak or brutal aspects of his stories but for some reason this kid and his poor wolf are breaking my heart. I stopped when he's about to go back into the dog fighting arena with his rifle. I hate giving up on a book, but just can't make myself continue. Could you convince me to stop being a coward about this?
