I've been desperate to branch out in horror literature and pull away from the likes of King, Cook, and Crichton. I've read most of their works and have enjoyed them but I really want more diversity. I have an easier time immersing myself in writing that is medical, naturalistic, scientific, ethnographic, has educational undertones or is heavy in academics. After I read The Only Good Indians by Blackfeet native Stephen Graham Jones, I fell in love with diverse literature. As an indigenous, non-binary, queer I feel like I've been missing out or that there simply aren't enough of us publishing with these kinds of themes. I want something that chills my bones if y'all could provide some suggestions. Thank you all!
