Suggest me a book where … nothing really happens?

I need a light read right now and I’m not sure what genre this falls into (if you could suggest a genre(s) that would also be helpful).

Going through the motions of life. Maybe a bit of mystery to it (but not murder mystery). Or even a light hearted ‘making of a spy from a normal person’ type of book with not too much action.

Does this exist?

Bonus points if you have recs for both motions of life and clumsy spy making books!

Some books I feel like somewhat fell into this category? (I know, it’s all over the place. I think that’s why I’m having a hard time finding the genre or books that fit the bill.)
