Looking mainly for books about native Americans, the Oregon trail, the Wild West, mountain men, those sorts of things. Only really interested in historical accounts, not fiction. I’ve read books such as: Blood and thunder, bury my heart at wounded knee, empire of the summer moon etc and really liked those and would like some suggestions in that vein!

Roemer’s Texas was interesting. Just a simple firsthand account of a German botanist traveling across Texas on a mule in the 1840’s.
