Looking for novels by LGBT+ authors to read for PRIDE month.
Will take any and all suggestions. I love historical fiction, YA fiction, contemporary fiction.
Bonus points – if the books have humor. (My favorite novel is "Less" by Andrew Sean Greer)

Read Greer’s Impossible Lives of Greta Wells. Through Greta’s time travels she experiences her gay brother’s lives in different historical periods.
The Gay Icon Classics of the World (Revised Edition) and The Gay Icon Classics of the World II by Robert Joseph Greene. These are gay love stories from different cultures from all around the World.
These are all at least somewhat humorous:
* Boyfriend Material by Alexis Hall (adult contemporary romance)
* Everyone In This Room Will Someday Be Dead by Emily Austin (adult contemporary fiction)
* Greta & Valdin by Rebecca K. Reilly (adult contemporary fiction)
* Idlewild by James Frankie Thomas (adult contemporary / recent-historical fiction)
* Loveless by Alice Oseman (YA contemporary fiction)
Felix Ever After ☺️
Giovanni’s Room by James Baldwin is a good book.
Unnatural Magic by C.M Waggoner
Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris is a collection of personal essays and one of the funniest book I’ve read
Last Night at the Telegraph Club by Malinda Lo – Historical YA
Anything by Alice Oseman – strongly support *Loveless*, as already suggested
*The Lesbiana’s Guide to Catholic School* by Sonora Reyes
*We Set the Dark on Fire* and *We Unleash the Merciless Storm* by Tehlor Kay Mejia (technically fantasy but the magical elements are minimal)
*Light from Uncommon Stars* by Ryka Aoki (contemporary setting with a fantasy and sci fi element to it) (TW >!transphobia!< but overall, it’s a very positive book about finding a safe place and a very unlikely chosen family)
*Pet* by Akwaeke Emezi (also has a magical element; quite a serious book, especially for its age group)
All of these are YA, except for *Light from Uncommon Stars*.
If you like science fiction, I also recommend the *Wayfarer* series by Becky Chambers.
