I just finished reading A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson, and I loved it, I naturally like the sciences, particular physics and chemistry, but I was surprised to find the part of the book I enjoyed the most was the parts about the earth, Volcanoes, plate tectonics, the rock cycles, earthquakes, Yellowstone, fossils, ice ages etc. I'm now reading Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari (I know they are both super basic, but they were recommended widely and its my first delve into non-fiction so I thought I'd start basic). So any recommendations in the earth related books genre that are quite general but more focused than A Short History of Nearly Everything are welcome.

I also have a love for anything physics related but nothing to complex, I'm 15 and have an above average grasp on physics and chemistry so if you have any recommendations for books in and around the level and in that genre that would also be appreciated (I'm particularly interested in quantum science, nuclear science, particles physics & astrophysics, however anything in physics or chemistry will likely fit the bill, and I would also love some more broad stuff like and all of physics worth knowing kind of book, or something all encompassing like that).

Either of those two categories work, if you see something you know about and want to help out, fire away. Any and all recommendations welcome, broad or specific.

    Thanks!

Here are a few you might look into.

The End of Everything by Katie Mack (about the universe)

Something Deeply Hidden by Sean Carroll (about quantum physics)

Kindred by Rebecca Wragg Sykes (about neanderthals)

Read Andrew Chaikin’s book, “A Man on the Moon,” about preparing for, then flying the Apollo missions.
