I have gotten really into seeking out books that are predominantly set in the season I’m currently in – and where the season/weather/landscape/natural surroundings feel vibrant and visceral and atmospheric, contributing to the overall mood of the book. Books I have in mind (some read and some not) in this realm are:

Spring: The Vaster Wilds (Lauren Groff)

    Summer: IT (Stephen King)

Autumn: Something Wicked This Way Comes (Ray Bradbury)

Winter: The Snow Child (Eowyn Ivey)

Would love some other recommendations for books that really felt perfect for a particular season, or would feel wrong being read in other seasons. Open to fiction or nonfiction. I’m not a big romance or high fantasy fan but I’m open to having my mind changed as long as the writing is beautiful and the characters and plot don’t feel contrived or overly tropey.
