Hi, a little background info here, but last year, I tried doing a 100 book challenge, and I failed (89 books). The year before that, I beat my 52 book goal (96 books). And the year before, that I read 79 books.

I think I got burnt out because of those years, and so almost every time I've read a book, my interest vanishes by the first few pages, which is normal for me but this year it's been really bad. So far, I've only read 12 books this year, which is a very slow pace for me, and I'm not satisfied with this if I have to be honest.

Are there any book recommendations that can help me in this situation or reading slump? I usually read any genre as long as the premise hooks me (Though the other books I dropped had interesting premises as well but my brain just didn't want to participate in it)

      Maybe revisit an old favorite?

I usually pick shorter books to help me get out of a slump. Carrie by Stephen King was the last book I used to get out of slump.

Also sometimes what you need is a break.
