My 14 bonus daughter has recently gotten into reading. Reading is something I’ve loved my whole life and I’m so excited that she is getting into it while also giving us something to bond over. We are taking turns suggesting books/series.
I picked If He Had Been With Me/If Only I Had Told her.
She picked The Summer I Turned Pretty series.
I would love some suggestions that are good for both someone in her 30s but would appeal to her as well and be age appropriate. I get overwhelmed looking at books/book series because we don’t necessarily like the same things. She’s not into fantasy but some light fantasy would probably be okay.
Bonus if they have great talking/discussion points that involve heavy topics but are geared towards her age.( If He Had Been With Me let us talk about loss, mental illness, getting help, and pressure to have sex. ) We are super open to light, sweet reading too!
