I only work 5 hour shifts but I only have 30 minutes worth of work to do a day. My harpy of a coworker yells at me for reading reddit (or literally anything else on my phone. ) I used to be an avid reader but haven't really been for years so I need some book recommendations to keep me sane for the other 4 and a half hours at the desk every day. I love fantasy, romance, and horror. When I was a big reader it was all YA, so maybe adult books with the same vibes but a little more . . . Racy? Obviously not anything with a cover that would make it look like I'm reading shut. Back when I read a lot I liked Holly Black, Melissa Marr, obviously can't read any J.K. Rowling anymore but I was very into Harry Potter, Jane Austin, Scott Westerfield, etc. More adult I do enjoy the occasional Stephen King or Neil Gamon. I just need something that I can't put down because staring at the door for 4 plus hours makes me want to unalive myself.
