Everybody needs a little levity, but I find myself gravitating toward “serious” books, and in my own writing almost always get critiqued to include a touch more comedy, with which I’m often at a loss.
Give me books that challenge my notions of comedy to their core, and broaden my palate beyond the gallows “humor” that frequently pigeonholes me.
Currently I have Me Talk Pretty One Day cracked open but I’d like more fiction suggestions as well as nonfic. Even if you know of any good craft of writing books that touch on this; I’ll take them!
