My family is going on a roadtrip soon and my husband and I like to listen to audiobooks while driving.
I’m looking for something nonfiction/general interest, approx 12 hrs or less, and something I won’t mind my kids overhearing (they will be in the car but have their own entertainment).

If you have an Audible account, try How to Listen to and Understand Great Music by Prof. Greenberg – very entertaining
Humble Pi by Matt Parker. It’s all about when maths goes wrong and I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone talk about any subject as enthusiastically as Matt does.
Anything by Jon Krakuer
Packing for Mars
The Sixth Extinction
Project Hail Mary (Fiction)
A Walk in the Woods (Bill Bryson), an extremely funny account of walking the Appalachian Trail.
Mythos, read by Stephen Fry
The Boys in the Boat
I enjoy reading books about my destination, so let us know where you’re going and that may spark some ideas.
