At the recommendation of this group I read The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane by Kate DiCamillo with my 8 year old daughter. Oh my heart! What an exceptional book that made both of us feel so deeply. It gave us so much to talk about. Does anyone have any suggestions that are have a good message, take you on a journey, makes you feel, causes you to pause and think, and still has a few pictures strewn through?
