I'm last minute looking for an (audio)book to distract me during a long bus ride (since those tend to make me nervous).
It would be a plus if the book were…
- fiction
- not depressing
- not romance-centric
- not horror
- ready to take me to a whole new world (aka have great world-building)
- if it's not a 'whole world' then at least a fascinating set of interpersonal dynamics or sth like that
- fantasy and scifi are very welcome
- maybe not too much like those teen drama or toxic relationship books that are popular on tiktok (I don't mind teens as protagonists, just don't want exaggerated plot and shallow characters)
