My best friend turns twenty in a few months and I wanted to give her a book annotated by me. It's a special date for us and I think it would be a special gift. She likes non-fiction books more than novels, although she also reads fiction and lately I've seen her reading it more. I know that she likes books on anthropology like Sapiens, also on physics, history and philosophy. She also really likes poetry. I would prefer to give her a novel or something like that, because I think it is easier to put my ideas and notes. She loved "Nada" by Carmen Laforet and also "The summer when my mother had green eyes" (El verano que mi madre tuvo los ojos verdes)by Tatiana Țîbuleac. That is why she prefers contemporary literary fiction, which deals with deep and emotional themes and, if possible, with something with LGBT+ themes. She mostly reads national literature (we are Spanish) but I think she wouldn't mind reading something by an international author. Thank you!! 🙂
