Basically what I want is a low support autistic main character but I've come across lots of books where the author didn't intend for their character to come off that way so I don't want/need it to be explicit at all.
Hoping for a main character that feels the way lots of autistic people do when socializing – lots of inner focus on what to say, how to react, eye contact, how they're coming off, did that just sound weird, etc.
No idea if that made sense but here's hoping!

Beautyland has a many character who believes she is an alien sent to study and learn about earthlings. At a few points it’s suggested or behavior is referenced as being autistic spectrum like.
