Last time I went my arms were sore for days from carrying all the books I was wanting to buy and I also kept dropping them. I see some people using tote bags but A) I don’t wanna feel like I’m stealing by stuffing books into a bag and B) A tote bag isn’t enough to carry that much books. Like what happens if someone wants to buy 10 books? There should definitely be baskets offered.

I get ya. Sometimes, we really go on shopping sprees.

There’s a local used bookstore that I frequent, and they’re kind enough to hold my purchases at the front until I’m ready to go. I imagine the clerks at B&N would do the same for customers.

Take them to the counter and say you’ll be back with more. Never had a problem holding books for a customer actively shopping.

How often are you buying ten books at once? The only reasons that come to mind are for study or to buy an entire series in one go. For both of those needs I’d say just buy online. Cheaper and easier.

For impulse purchases you don’t need to be adding ten books to the backlog at once.
