I am fine with any genre except romance. By calm I dont mean it is necessarily slow or that nothing happens, just that the prose is calming. I am not sure if I am making any sense, but a recent book that gave me this feeling was Piranesi by Susanna Clarke.
Thanks !

A Psalm for the Wild Built, Before the Coffee Gets Cold, Poison for Breakfast, the old man and the sea, we have always lived in the castle, this is how you lose the time war
At Home in Mitford by Jan Karon is my go-to for a great story that feels more like a hug.
