Im a 28 year old who went through a big move. Quit my job to live somewhere affordable. In the process I feel like Ive lost my self. I feel like I cant do anything, Im lacking goals and purpose. No one here is around my age, theres not a lot of spontaneity (which is what I wanted, but now it feels wrong).

Please suggest me a book of any kind that you think would be inspiring to the situation. Tia

Nettle & Bone because the main character sets out on her quest later in life than people usually do in those sorts of books, but when she decides she’s going, she’s very committed and determined

    2. I did a similar thing, a little younger. (Unsolicited advice, please ignore if it doesn’t resonate: The whole thing about spontaneity is you can just do things. Don’t let early bad feelings get in the way, push through and keep it up. You can clear a day and do anything you want. You can wander without even knowing what you want. You have a chance to really be who you are, with no expectations from others.)

      A few directions:

      – The Happiness Trap
      – Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy
      – Biographies of people you admire

      Rooting for you
