What’s an entertaining YA fantasy novel with spiritual depth that isn’t in the Christian genre but is hopeful and uplifting.

I'm looking for a recently published, (within the last 5 years) entertaining, age-appropriate, (11 yrs to 18) fantasy series grounded in spirituality and morality that is well-written and has an appealing story line, and is not about witchcraft, zombies, or vampires, or an apocalypse, or any specific religion or political leaning.
