Can be lgbtq
Can be spicy – as long as they are also funny and well written.
Can be genre (as in romantic, funny, and crime/ fantasy/ etc.)
Characters should be adults (college is sorta ok – older is preferable).
Characters should be complex – no caricatures.
No large age gaps – I find it too creepy, even in fiction.
Book should be well written – this goes without saying.
Preferably written in the past 3 years – I may be wrong, but I feel like I've gone through everything from previous years (either read or dismissed).
Dark humor very acceptable.

Boyfriend Material by Alexis Hall – I found it to be funny and have good characters. A couple of the side characters felt a little flat, though it could just be from how little they were on page
10 Things That Never Happened by Alexis Hall – The premise is ridiculous, but the author managed to pull it off and I had total buy in
The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren
