I know African authors must be writing some happy, uplifting stories, but the global north publishers seem to be trying to atone for colonialism by mainly publishing trauma-based literature. This is not a criticism of the authors themselves – writing can be cathartic and many of these authors are writing their stories beautifully. But I've read enough of that for a bit. What are some happy titles?
