Tough ask, I guess. I have a long drive coming up (16 hrs round trip) and looking for an exciting audiobook (or books). Also in a space where I am not interested in the violence (specifically violence against women) that is often depicted in thrillers or mystery novels. I have enjoyed Riley Sager, Gillian Flynn, Lisa Jewell, other popular thriller authors. Also enjoy "cozy mysteries" but looking for something with a faster pace. Appreciate any suggestions!

Eleanor Taylor Bland’s Marti McAllister series may fit this. Granted I’ve only read one of them but I remember the lack of violent confrontation / showdown as the book reached its climax and resolution. Good luck finding what you’re looking for!!
