Okay so I have no idea if this is the right sub for this, but I really can't get this book out of my head and I feel like I have to find it.

For context, this is one of those vivid yet kinda fuzzy childhood memories that you know has to exist but can't remember enough details. I also happened to read this book in Romanian, but I'm almost fully certain that it was a translation rather than actually originally written in Romanian.

What I remember from this book is a little girl with a helper creature who has to rescue the human population after they are turned into rabbits. What made this stick out for me is that every rabbit can only say the last sentence that they said before being turned into a rabbit (hope that made sense?). They are only able to say the last phrase they said as a human, for example I definitely remember there being a train inspector rabbit who could only ask for people's tickets and nothing else. I also remember there being flying keys somehow tied into this, but I'm not entirely sure how.

The from cover is a little bit clearer, I remember it being a pink-purple colour background with the little girl on it, surrounded by loads and loads of white rabbits, all draw in black and white. I know this is a long shot in every sense of the phrase, but I would be so thankful for any suggestions of the title or author or even just another subreddit that might be able to help xx
