Seems there’s a lot of options out there for the shy girl meeting the boisterous guy that breaks her out of her shell.
I’d like to find something that flips that. More introverted guy meets kooky, quirky, and somewhat uninhibited girl that awakens something in him by dragging him through some wild experiences he’d usually never step foot in.
A night of fun experiences, (or longer, I just sort of envisioned a night), that open his eyes to a whole new world. You know the kind–one of those people and experiences that change you forever.
Does not need to be YA.
I keep thinking of Nick & Norah, though that isn’t really this exactly…

I don’t know what rock you’re living under 😂.
“Manic Pixie Dream Girl” is an entire literary trope. It’s particularly common in YA, but it certainly exists outside of that realm.
I usually avoid MPDG stories, so probably am not the right person to tell you what’s good, but there are a ton of them.
A Confederacy of Dunces.
Definitely shy guy and quirky girl: *The Rosie Project* by Graeme Simsion.
Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami might fit but personally I hated that book
