Suggest me “beach reads” for an island getaway.

I’m going on vacation somebody recently suggested I read “on stranger tides” while I’m there.

I grabbed it because I loved pirates of the Caribbean growing up.

That said, I don’t typically read pirate themed works, I’ve read treasure island and the like and was not impressed.

I typically read modern action thrillers and crime. (Michael Connelly and Tom Clancy are some of my favorites)

Anything else you would suggest based on my current likes?
